Are We All Clones?

We're all unique individuals - so we say. We pride ourselves in being different. We celebrate diversity.

Then, we find ourselves singing to the same tone as the masses. We call it mainstream. We are shocked with those who do not follow the norm.

I have nothing against norms. In fact, sometimes I find it comforting that we have norms or standard operating procedures, so we know what to do and what is expected.

However, at the same time, I question whether the norms limit us to become 'one of the many'? At work, in school or in society.

We should never be afraid to be creative. There's something wonderful in each and every one of us that makes us who we are, and certainly, that special element we have is vastly different from what any other person on the street has to offer.

We are different. We are not clones. Let us celebrate our individualities.
